Other News - Obama and PalestineObama calls for Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Stressing the importance of a two-state solution, Obama urged Palestinians to drop their demands for a freeze in Israeli settlement building as a precondition for peace talks. While admitting that both sides may have to “push through” disagreements, Obama said that peace was possible. Israelis and Palestinians then came together in agreement over the nativity of Obama’s statement. BBC News

Other News - No BachmannYou know you’ve gone too far when Bill O’Reilly starts criticizing you. Fox News host Bill O’Reilly lashed out at Michele Bachmann for her recent attack on President Barack Obama during her CPAC speech. Bachmann criticized the president’s taxpayer-funded lifestyle of excess, which includes five chefs on Air Force One, two projectionists who operate the White House movie theater and someone to walk the president’s dog. O’Reilly said Obama was “entitled to protection, convenience and comfort” and that Bachmann’s attack was trivial and obscuring larger issues. Also, Obama does not have a dog walker. O’Reilly, 1. Other News - Obamacare KILLSIn more Bachmann news, the Minnesota representative is now saying that Obamacare “literally kills” people and it’s her duty, as a Christian, to repeal it. On the House floor today, Bachmann is quoted as saying “That’s why we’re here: Because we’re saying let’s repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens.” In other news, Michele Bachmann is literally retarded. Other News - Spending BillGovernment meltdown averted! The House of Representatives approved a $984 billion spending bill to avoid the looming government shutdown and keep the government funded through September. The bill also passed through the Senate and is on its way to Obama’s desk. In related news, the House also passed Paul Ryan’s budget which calls for substantial cuts, smaller government and no more Obamacare. Although I don’t think that one will make it to Obama’s desk…. New York Times

Other News - India Rape LawIndia passes a new rape law to protect women against sexual violence. Better late than never I guess. The new law, which was hurried through parliament after the December gang rape incident, calls for the death penalty for repeat offenders or for rape attacks that lead to the victim’s death. It’s still ok to rape your spouse though – the government’s chose not to criminalize marital rape. CBC News
