Baby, baby, baby noooo! Preteen pop star Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami last night and taken into custody for drag racing under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, and an inflated ego.
After leaving a club in Miami early this morning, Justin Bieber got the sudden urge to drunkenly drag race down the street with some rapper named Khalil. So the Biebs got into a rented yellow Lamborghini and had his entourage use two SUV’s to block traffic so the drag race could take place. Safety first!
When the cops pulled Justin over for speeding, the 19-year-old was barely coherent. Miami Beach Police say did not co-operate when pulled over and also “failed a sobriety test.”
“During the investigation Mr Bieber made statements that he had consumed some alcohol, that he had been smoking marijuana and consumed some prescription medication,” said Miami Beach police chief Raymond Martinez.
“They were starting from a stop position and they were accelerating to a high rate of speed, going almost double the speed limit… in that area.”
I can’t beliebe it! Actually, I can totally beleibe it. This is a pretty standard rite of passage for all child stars gone bad. Next up will be rehab (see: Lindsay Lohan’s life). Plus, you knew things were getting rough when Justin Bieber’s teen mom Pattie encouraged everyone to pray for her pop star son after he threw a bunch of eggs at his neighbour’s house:
“I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and they get influenced somehow. I ask that people keep me and Justin in their minds. I pray for him every day. If Justin’s struggling, don’t kick him when he’s down or condemn him – pray for him.” Pattie pleaded.
Well, someone’s prayers were answered because Justin Bieber spent his morning at the Miami police department getting charged and taking his very first mugshot. In addition to the drag-racing DUI, Bieber was also charged with resisting arrest without violence and having an invalid driver’s licence. Sooooo $2,500 bail, a bunch of fancy high priced lawyers and a small slap on the wrist?
Whatever the Miami police do with him, I hope they don’t deport him back to Canada. We have a very strict no returns policy. Sorry.
