Michele Bachmann: Obama Rode To Victory On A Wave Of White Guilt

Bachmann White Guilt

Michele Bachmann has the 2016 presidential election all figured out. The former presidential hopeful believes Barrack Obama was elected president was “because of guilt” – white guilt to be exact – and that’s something Hillary Clinton just can’t compete with.

Speaking to conservative columnist Cal Thomas, Bachmann says that the “guilt” that Americans felt before electing Obama won’t benefit a female candidate for president.

“I think there was a cachet about having an African-American president because of guilt,” Bachmann said.

“People don’t hold guilt for a woman,” she added.

Apparently the white guilt was strong enough to elect Obama in 2008 and in 2012. Americans felt very guilty.

Unfortunately former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won’t have that advantage in 2016. Not that it would matter anyway, because Bachmann, who is retiring from Congress after her current term, insists America “isn’t ready for a woman president” – a fact that she realized after running for president in 2012.

While voters will vote for women for every other elected office in the country, Bachmann doesn’t “think there is a pent-up desire” to see a woman in the Oval Office – especially one who is “the godmother of Obamacare” and “has a real problem when it comes to Benghazi”.

Plus, after having spent two decades in the public eye, Bachmann feels Clinton just won’t have the appeal that Obama first did. When Obama came along, she said, he was “new and different” (read: not white), Clinton… not so much.

As crazy as Michele Bachmann sounds, she is right about one thing – some women just aren’t fit to be president. Bachmann being the prime example…

Pakistani Taliban Are Open For Talks… And Other News

Pakistani Taliban Talks

While House Republicans and Democrats are refusing to speak to one another, the Pakistani Taliban has signalled that they are open to “serious talks” with the government.

Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud said he would continue to target “America and its friends” but also wishes to engage in peace talks with the Pakistani government. At least they’re being honest! Hakimullah Mehsud denied carrying out recent deadly attacks in public places saying “we consider the safety of Muslims, of scholars, of mosques and madrassas as our sacred duty. As for explosions which cause damage to the life and property of Muslims, we have denied any link the past, we deny any link today.” Well, there goes the honesty… BBC News

Morsi on TrialWhile the violence in Egypt continues, a trial date has been set for the man who started it all (not really): Mohamed Morsi. The ousted former president will go on trial starting on November 4 for committing and inciting violence after the military kicked him out of office in July. Fourteen other members of the Muslim Brotherhood movement will be along for the ride too. Meanwhile, the Brotherhood is still calling for Morsi’s reinstatement and the military government’s ban on all Muslim Brotherhood related activities hasn’t seemed to quell the protests. In fact, it may have made them worse…. But Morsi shouldn’t worry too much. After all, ex-president Hosni Mubarak spent less than two years in jail serving out his “life sentence” for his role in killing protesters. Morsi should be out in no time! CNN

Bachmann TwerkMichele Bachmann cleared up a few common misconceptions about her self today: she is not Miley Cyrus, she has never “done twerking” and does not “intent to take it up.” Good to know. Apparently some people (who must have been watching Saturday Night Live  – or TV for that matter – for the first time in their lives) believed that Miley Cyrus’ impression of Bachmann twerking with House Speaker John Boehner was actually Michele Bachmann. But Bachmann doesn’t mind being mistaken for the pop star: “I will tell you as a 57-year-old woman, it’s been a long time since I’ve been confused for a 20-year-old.” Raw Story

Greenpeace DrugsAre Greenpeace activists crackheads or are Russian authorities sketchy? Probably both, but the environmentalist organization and Russia are in a “he said she said” debate regarding hard drugs allegedly found aboard the Arctic Sunrise. After Russia charged the 30 Greenpeace activists with piracy over an open-sea oil protest, they claim they confiscated some “narcotic substances” which were “presumably poppy straw and morphine.” Greenpeace says Russia is acting nuts. Also, the vessel’s American captain legally kept morphine in his safe for “medical purposes.” Reuters

Bruce and KrisSince the whole “Lamar Odom being a crackhead” thing didn’t pan out as expected, the Kardashains need a new scandal to keep viewers hooked and stop their ratings from plummeting further. So after 22 years of marriage Bruce and Kris Jenner have officially separated and are living apart. “We are much happier this way,” they told E! News, saying they “will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.” Next season on Keeping Up With The Kardashians: Kris Jenner goes on a lot of awkward dates with a lot of younger men and Bruce Jenner hides his emotions under his plastic surgeried face. Michele Bachmann Thinks The End Of The World Is Near… And Other News

Michele Bachmann

Crazy ole congresswomen Michelle Bachmann is claiming that “we are in God’s End Times” because President Obama is supplying al-Qaeda with arms.

He’s not, but if he were it certainly wouldn’t be the first time the US government gave terrorists weapons and had it come back and bite them in the ass. Anyways, Michele Bachmann takes the scripture seriously and believes Obama giving arms to Syrian rebels is going to bring on the Second Coming of Christ. But she also said that Obamacare would “literally” kill women, children and senior citizens and that HPV vaccinations cause mental retardation. So… she’s clearly had her HPV vaccination. The Atlantic Wire

obama boehnerTurns out shutting down the government wasn’t the best way to win over the hearts of Americans. According to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll, 70 percent of Americans disapprove of the way congressional Republicans are handling the budget negotiations. And 51 percent “strongly” disapprove. On the flip side, President Obama’s approval rating has risen a few points, although 51 percent of Americans still disapprove of the way he has handled the crisis with 39 percent “strongly” disapproving. Note: 40 percent of that 39 percent is made up of Ted Cruz. Washington Post

Dubai taxiAnd the father of the year goes to… the Middle Eastern version of Kevin McCallister’s dad. The award winning father left his five-year-old son in the back of a taxi in Dubai as he and his family rushed to make their flight home. The family grabbed their bags out of the cab and ran to the departure desk but forgot about the boy sleeping in the back of the car. Once the father realized he pulled a Home Alone, he contacted the Dubai police and they tracked down the cab using CCTV footage and alerted the driver – who apparently had no idea there was a kid in the backseat. Or did he…? 7 Days in Dubai

Italy ShipwreckShipwreck report: Rescue workers are still searching for bodies from a boat carrying African migrants that sank off the coast of Italy last week.  The death toll is now at 274 and is still rising. The survivor count is now at 155 and probably won’t be rising… The boat was carrying about 500 passengers – mostly from Eritrea and Somalia. When you don’t bother with life-jackets you can really squeeze people in! But survivors tapped into their survival skills and developed make-shift floating devices: the dead bodies of their companions. And once again, the captain did NOT go down with the ship. Instead he’s in custody in Agrigento, Sicily. As for the survivors, they’re waiting in a cramped migrant detention center waiting to see if they will be deported or if the Italian government will give them a pity stay. CNN

Malaria VaccineThere might be a lot less diarrhea in Africa soon… and a lot fewer child deaths. In its 30 year fight against malaria, British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline says it’s found the world’s first malaria vaccine. The pharmaceutical agency is seeking regulatory approval for the vaccine after trial data showed that it had cut the number of cases in African children. Malaria, which is spread by evil mosquitos, is the leading cause of death by disease and has been a pet project of Bill Gates’ for years. Thanks Bill! The Telegraph

Current Event Cat of the Day: Michele Bachmann

Current Event Cat - Michele Bachmann

Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) announced she is leaving Congress, a decision which has “nothing” to do with the ongoing ethics investigation regarding alleged misconduct during her failed attempt to win the 2012 Republican presidential primary. I repeat, nothing.

Accompanied by some distracting theme music, Michele Bachmann announced early Wednesday morning in a YouTube video on her campaign Web site that she would not be running for reelection to the House of Representatives in 2014. YouTube videos are apparently the new medium for campaign announcements (see: Weiner for Mayor).

Bachmann was also quick to insist that her stepping down had “nothing” to do with the fear of not being reelected. In 2012 she won a very narrow victory against Jim Graves, who has already announced he is running in 2014.

“Be assured: My decision was not in any way influenced by any concerns about my being reelected to Congress,” Bachmann said. “I have every confidence that if I ran, I would again defeat the individual who I defeated last year, who recently announced he is once again running.”

“And rest assured, this decision was not impacted in any way by the recent inquiries into the activities of my former presidential campaign or my former presidential staff. It was clearly understood that compliance with all rules and regulations was an absolute necessity for my presidential campaign.”

Don’t worry – she also insists her passion for America will remain! Phew!!! And of course it wouldn’t be a Michele Bachmann YouTube video if she didn’t take a jab at the Liberal mainstream media and Obamacare.

Rounding Out the CPAC Roadshow…

CPAC 2013

The annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), held over the weekend at the Gaylord Convention Center, is a breeding ground of current and future GOP leaders, all coming together to discuss the conservative agenda. Although lately it seems like more of a failed candidate roadshow.

And rounding out the “most interesting” speakers of the weekend:

Bachmann CPACMichele Bachmann

Michele Bachmann bounded onto the stage full of enthusiasm as the music of tween pop starts One Direction blared in the background.

Bachmann ripped into the Obama administration for cancelling the White House tours – something almost every Republican seems fired up about. I guess it’s the only way a Republican can get into the White House these days.

“We are paying someone to walk the president’s dog, but we can’t pay for a veteran to go on a White House tour?”

Aside from that, Bachmann spoke about the Benghazi incident, tried to paint gun control as a women’s issue, and criticized the president’s taxpayer-funded lifestyle of excess.

But mostly she just shouted stuff about love.

“This is our movement, the movement of love, the movement of care. We do this because we love each other and we love our nation!”

Santorum CPACRick Santorum

Rick Santorum gave an emotional speech dripping with social conservatism. No surprise there.

In his ode to traditional values, Santorum blamed America’s problems not on the economy but on moral rot of modern society.

Santorum warned: “for those in our movement, who want to abandon our moral underpinnings, what does it profit a movement to gain the country but lose our own soul?”

Mittens CPACMitt Romney

In his first public speech since the election, Mittens returned to CPAC as a defeated candidate but tried to keep things fairly positive.

“My optimism about America wasn’t diminished by my campaign. In fact, it grew.”

Mittens acknowledged the fact that he probably wasn’t he best person to offer advice on a winning strategy and apolologized for losing the election.

“I’m sorry I won’t be your president, but I will be your coworker and work shoulder-to-shoulder alongside you.”

Awwww. Mittens.

Palin CPACSarah Palin

There’s nothing like a good ole folksy speech to fire up the crowd, and this year Sarah Palin did not disappoint. Palin took the stage amid a round of cheers, giving a populist speech criticizing the president and Karl Rove but not really offering any specifics on conservative policies.

As usual Palin was critical of the Washington elites:

“We don’t have leadership coming out of Washington, we have reality television.” Has Sarah Palin forgotten about her short-lived reality TV “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”?

And Barack Obama was no exception:

“Mr. President, we admit it: you won. Accept it. Now step away from the teleprompter and do your job.” Palin said as she read from her teleprompter.

Palin also drank a 7-11 Big Gulp during her speech. Either she was sticking it to Mayor Bloomberg or she was afraid of pulling a Marco Rubio.

And just when you thought CPAC couldn’t get any better, she throws in a sex joke about her and her husband Todd.

“He got the rifle, I got the rack.”
