If you’ve always dreamed of sh*tting where you eat, you’re in luck! The Magic Restroom Café in Los Angeles has just become America’s first toilet themed eatery.
The Magic Restroom restaurant, where customers can sit on ceramic toilets and eat from toilet-shaped tableware, had a very successful opening night. Friday’s grand opening attracted many diners eager to eat poo-themed dishes while sitting on the can.
“Business for the past couple of days has been very good. It’s always a full house with customers waiting in the lobby,” said waiter Daniel Chyan.
Yes, it’s all fun and games until some drunk customer mistakes his seat for a real toilet and unleashes a stream of diarrhea. Fortunately, it wouldn’t look that different from the food that they serve.
But on the menu, things aren’t looking so normal. The menu includes dishes such as “black poop” (chocolate sundae), “smells-like-poop” (braised pork over rice), and “bloody number two” (vanilla-strawberry sundae). Yum!
The tableware also follows the toilet theme. The chicken is served in a urinal while a shrimp rice order comes in a small toilet.
Where did owner YoYo Li get the idea for a toilet themed restaurant? Asia, obviously. But more specifically – Taiwan. After noticing the popularity of the Modern Toilet restaurant chain in China and Taiwan, YoYo Li thought why not make Americans eat on the toilet too?
One question remains unanswered though: does the bathroom look like a restaurant?
